Megamind

Megamind movie is making up in the difference way from the others. In this movie they try to “build the ultimate super villain and at the same time make us care for him” (Desowitz, 2010).

According to ANIMATION WORLD NETWORK (Desowitz, 2010). There are two main challenges in this film. Firstly, how to make Both Metro Man and Tighten become unique. Second is how to present an interesting movie. So, they made the reference to people by used the slow frames and they also have to do some experience about how to punch somebody, because they want all the movement look more realistic and not just like the cartoon.

Moreover, the personality of the two main characters is also interesting. The first character is a Metro Man, the person who knows inherently how much energy he can use. Secondly, Tighten, he has the same body, rig and muscle system as the Metro man, but he is gangly and clumsy and never gets the hang of using finesse like Metro Man.

The animators of this movie also focus on the muscle of the cartoon characters because this will be a good part which makes the superhero character to appear their powerful and the huge of energy. In addition, the animators are used the new rendering technique to develop the Metro City by “divided neighborhoods into streets and blocks that were constantly being resized. We looked at a lot of cities and created different sizes, shapes and styles. We pulled people from different departments for this team of half a dozen. We tested the surfacing and lighting and emphasized the level of detail, keeping it in the foreground and losing it in the background” (Desowitz, 2010).

In my opinion, this movie is very interesting because of the good graphic and the great plot which make the entire story become more relate and not boring. The Megamind is focusing on the super villain, which I never watch on any movie before. So this point might be attractive to the audiences. Moreover, in this movie, they also concentrate on every detail of the characters and the atmosphere as it said above. They are concentrating on even the muscle to make the characters look more realistic, and this will make the audience get more fun and enjoy with the film.

This article is quite interesting, but I am not used it in my term paper because the idea on this article is not relate to the detail that I want to write about.
